Joe Robison

Joe is 40-years-old and lives in Erie, Michigan. He has been hunting waterfowl since the age of 12 and fishing since he could hold a fishing pole. He turned his passion for the outdoors into a career as a Wildlife Biologist with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife Division (MDNR). He has worked as a professional Wildlife Biologist for the past 15 years. Joe earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resources Management from Grand Valley State University, Allendale, Michigan. He started his career with the MDNR at the Muskegon State Game Area Goose Management Unit. He is now the Wildlife Biologist in Southeast Michigan at the Pte. Mouillee State Game Area Headquarters. Pte. Mouillee State Game Area is the largest fresh water marsh restoration project in North America. Joe's area of wildlife management covers all of Monroe and Wayne Counties.

Joe is married to his wife Gina and they have a daughter, Sidney. Joe can't wait to introduce his daughter to hunting. She was introduced to fishing at the age of 2. Joe travels from border to border, coast to coast to pursue waterfowl. He has been waterfowl hunting for the past 28 years.

He dedicates time to his family first, hunting second and third to the Southwestern Lake Erie Chapter, Waterfowl U.S.A.. He is the area Chairperson. He also donates guided goose hunts to the local ducks unlimited chapter for fundraising activities. He is a member of Waterfowl U.S.A., Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited, and the National Wild Turkey Federation.

You may have seen Joe on the Outdoor Channel, Gander Mountain "We Live Outdoors" hunting divers out of a layout boat in the lower Detroit River, Michigan Out-of-Doors Television show hunting Michigan's giant Canada geese, Cabela's T.V. "Hunters Journal" hunting divers out of a layout boat in Western Lake Erie, Fowl Pursuit II, III and IV goose hunting in Manitoba and Michigan, Michigan Sportsman Magazine, Turkey Time II, Band Hunters II, Ducks Unlimited Magazine, and on Cabela's T.V. "Hunter Journal" on a late season goose hunt in Michigan.

Joe has helped organize many youth hunts and seminars for kids. He is a strong believer in introducing them to the outdoors so they can carry on the hunting traditions and understand the important role hunting plays in wildlife management.

With my experiences professionally and hunting experiences in the field that I've learned on my own and with other world class hunters, I believe I will be bringing a tremendous amount of knowledge, talent and experience to the Zink Calls Team.
