Jean Simon comes from a small town called Varennes located along the shores of the mighty St-Lawrence River in Quebec, Canada. Since the age of 10, his passion for waterfowl started while he accompanied his dad for the first time. JS is the 4th generation in his family to practice the sport.

The family business, Thomas Marine, has become the largest boating and Mercury outboards dealer in Eastern Canada. With a huge variety of Jon boats and Go-Devil motors, Jean-Simon has carried over his recreational passion into his daily work life. JS is a proud sponsor of Ducks Unlimited and donates to his favorite conservation organization at every chance he gets.

He is one of the very first and proud members of Destination X dating back to the very beginning and is always ready to go at a moments notice with bags packed whether the film crew is heading for Manitoba, Ontario or Quebec. Since he has joined DX, his calling skills have developed to another level, and very quickly have his scouting and set up skills as well. DX has instantly become an icon in the waterfowling world in our province of Quebec. The role of JS with the team is mostly in the field and in the pre-hunt preparation of our gear and equipment. He is also one of the callers on the team with Steve Morissette and John Cristinziani.

Jean-Simon avidly pursues ducks, geese, coyotes, fox, caribou and lastly whitetails. He is also a fishing fanatic but managing 3 mega dealers for Thomas Marine takes up much of his time during the spring and summer which suits him well leaving for some loose time during the fall and winter months.

Jean-Simon is fortunate to continually live out the passion he feels for his outdoor sports on a daily basis and with partners such as Benelli, Avery Outdoors, Go-Devil, Princecraft and of course Zink Calls, he can count on some of the best products names in the industry to help him enjoy his favorite pastimes.
