Zink Calls Pro Staff

Bob Davis

My name is Bob Davis. I live in Boise, Idaho where I have lived most of my life. I have lived in my share of places though. I have lived in Logan, Utah; New York City, New York; Heredia, Costa Rica; and San Juan, Puerto Rico. No matter where I've lived or where I go, Idaho will always be my home. I graduated from Boise State University with a degree in Spanish. Go Broncos!!

I have the most beautiful wife in the world, Leslie, and the best son a man could ask for, Jaden. I work in sales and I love it. I grew up hunting ducks and geese. Later in life I found I love big game hunting too. But, what I really love are coyotes and ducks! I call in more coyotes every year than a lot of guys do ducks!! If I'm not working or spending time with my family there is a pretty good chance you'll find me with a coyote or duck call in my hand, either out hunting or practicing for it!

I have hunted ducks and geese my whole life. Some of my earliest memories are of me hiding in a duck blind with my dad. My dad has truly been my inspiration in the sport. He has taught me how to be a duck hunter, not just someone who hunts ducks. I can smell the change in the air when duck season opens from anywhere in the world!

I grew up knowing that to kill ducks we had to be different and we had to be the best. For this reason my dad began making his own duck calls. He started by making some out of bamboo and moved on to a lathe. To this day he still turns a few woody's on his lathe when he gets a chance. As hunting competition has increased so has our need to improve ourselves. I have worked hard improving my skills and mastering a trade that I love.

I have searched high and low, east and west for a duck call that really does what it is supposed to do. I needed a call that sounded like a duck. I needed a call that I could blow on the windiest days over a lot of open water, but I also needed a call that I could really blow in the face of a duck and finish 'em all the way to decoys. I blew my first Zink duck call and knew I had finally found it.
