Dan Cahl

Dan Cahl, 33,lives in Northeast Ohio with his wife Sunshine of 11 years, his son Hunter age 6, and their 3 Dogs Sampson, Starr and Babe. Hunting, in the Cahl family is a way of life, and they all share the passion. Whether its scouting, taking outdoor pictures, or long walks in the woods, they incorporate this in their everyday lives. Dan is truely blessed to have such an understanding and loving family behind him.

Dan started hunting at the age of 14, when his grandfather took him on his first hunt. He showed a lot of interest in the outdoors right out of the gate. At the age of 16 he went on his first waterfowl hunt, and knew then and there that was where his passion lay. He was hooked from the first duck call, to the sounds of Geese coming to a field, and the brisk chill of the October morning. When he is not chasing Ducks and Geese in Ohio, in a marsh, or on a cornfield, you can find him traveling to Missouri chasing the spring snow goose migration or heading to Maryland going after sea ducks and brayant

Day in and day out Dan lives for waterfowl. Whether its honing his calling skills, meeting with land owners, working shows and seminars, or introducing youngsters to the outdoors. There is nothing he will not do to promote the sport to its fullest potential.

Dan also is Co-Owner of First Flight Outfitters in Northeast Ohio, a premier waterfowl guide service. He also promotes youth activities in waterfowling and upland hunting, because he knows that the youth are our future of the sport we love. He also does a yearly Pheasant Hunt in Ohio, where many waterfowlers gather to hunt, share stories and raise money for a well deserved cause chosen for that year.

Dan is a member of the Ohio Waterfowl Association, Delta Waterfowl, Ducks Unlimited, NRA, and the NWTF. There is truly no rest for him and his family. He is also a member of many online forums where he is known to many as "Honker."

Dan is truely blessed to be a part of Zink Calls, and on Pro-Staff for them. He feels that there is nothing better than family, and thats what it is at Zink Calls. Bringing years of experience, knowledge, desire, and a passion to learn more every time out. Dan truely lives and breathes, 24-7 !!!
