Mike Bard
Mike grew up in Upstate New York hunting ducks and geese around the Finger Lakes on beaver ponds, rivers and corn fields with buddies from high school. Prior to being bitten by the waterfowl bug, his introduction to hunting actually came from his father and grandfather who used to take him along deer hunting, well before he was old enough to hunt.
After high school, Mike enlisted in the Army, later being commissioned as an officer. He attended college at Syracuse University's Maxwell School, earning his Masters degree in public administration and stayed in the area to work in market research and raise his three children – Ella, Zach and Jackie with his wife Christina.
Mike now hunts and guides all across the country and Canada for waterfowl from September through March around 75 days a season. His favorite place to hunt is still New York because of the variety of waterfowl species that migrate through and the different hunting styles you can use chase them.
Mike brings nearly 2 decades of waterfowling experience to Zink Calls. His passion of the outdoors and knowledge of many different styles of waterfowl hunting make him a valuable asset to the Zink Calls team. Mike is also on Avery Outdoors Pro-Staff and co-owes the Game Hogg Hunt Club.
