The Story of El Diablo

May first, and after two months of filming and very little hunting, I was back in my home state of Kentucky sitting in one of my favorite hunting spots. The day prior, I had filmed hunting partner, Josh Grossenbacher, harvesting a tremendous gobbler. His tag filled, Grossenbacher took control of the digital camera. Full Story
Wood Over Water - Potomac River Smackdown!
by Z-Unit Derek Rambo
An idea came about a few months ago about testing the effectiveness of wood Zink calls and GHG® decoys to hunt heavily pressured, late season, public water honkers. Paul Cupka asked me to join him in Virginia to hunt the Potomac River way back in October while we were hunting in Canada. Not only was I excited about hunting with him on his "home" turf, but also to be involved in this great idea of Wood Over Water! It was something I was not going to pass up! Full Story

Flag From the Rear

To be successful with late season geese, sometimes you have to pull out all of the stops. Our plan was to hunt a soy bean field during the last week of the season. The problem was going to be that we had hunted that field one to two times a week for the last 5 weeks using spreads of four to five dozen FFD Lessers. Today's plan called for combining two decoy rigs into one large spread of twenty five dozen full bodies and over-sized shells. Full Story
Two Amazing Aerial Shows
by Z-Unit Rusty Hallock
With the second and final split of the Maryland A.P. goose season quickly approaching, we had to formulate a plan for opening day. We had a few strikes going against us for the opening day: the forecasted weather was 60 degrees and no wind, I only had access to corn fields that the geese had barely touched, and the geese had been exposed to heavy hunting pressure. Little did I know my luck was about to change only days from opening day. Full Story
