David Wood
David Wood was born and raised in Texas and has lived in various parts of the Lone Star State. Along the way he as been exposed to many forms of wingshooting, beginning when his father introduced him to duck, quail and dove hunting in South Texas at the age of 6. He killed his first white-wing dove shooting a 20 gauge that rested on his father's thigh as David swung through and pulled the trigger.
Since then, bird hunting has been a regular part of David's life. Waterfowl has emerged as his number one passion with upland a close second. Instilled in David at that same young age was to be a good steward of the land and to be grateful for what God has shared with all of us. In David's opinion, the outdoors holds a beauty that cannot be truly appreciated until you feel the sting of the rain or the heat of the sun. You have to be out in it to "get it".
David also enjoys training his retrievers and running hunt tests. It is a great way for him to stay connected to the outdoors when there are no bird migrations to follow as well as keeping his four-legged hunting buddies at the top of their game.
