Steve was born and raised in Covington Ga. He and his wife Karen have A sixteen year old daughter Jenna and a thirteen year old son Blake. Steve Co-Owns and operates Wagner Service Solutions. Steve is a member of Eastridge Church where he works with the Youth. Steve started his passion for chasing ducks in 1982 and has never been able to shake the addiction. Steve has chased ducks from Alaska all the way across the country to Maine and taken most of the different species of ducks and geese. Steve will be headed to Argentina this spring to experience the great wing shooting the southern country has to offer. Steve loves to hunt just about anything and has taken Elk, Moose, Caribou, Whitetails and Mule deer, Pronghorns and a B&C Black bear, but his true passion is and always has been ducks and geese. Steve has been a member of DU as long as he can remember and sponsored for the last 10 years. He has also been involved in the Newton Co. chapter working on the committee for 8 years.
Steve has been hunting the NE Arkansas area for 18 years and that’s where you will find him come late November. Steve hunts clubs on the Cash river and the Harrisburg area around Clay Pools and spends lots of time in the rice fields and timber there.
Steve likes to involve kids and new comers in his sport and enjoys watching their reaction to their first group of Green Heads lock up and come in to the GHG spread. You will not find me in the pit without my Zink PH-2 or a camera to capture the memories. I don’t think we as hunters should be selfish with our time or resources and should share it with kids and adults that might not otherwise have a chance to see the awesome things God created, like the sight from a blind of a sunrise on a migration day. That’s what it’s all about.
