Kris Verness

Kris Verness was born in Reno, Nevada January 25, 1976. He still lives in Reno with his wife Gianna, daughter Hailey, and son Logan. After ten years as a concrete journeyman, Kris is now facility manager for a local retirement community

Kris has always enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was fishing for catfish at a local lake, chasing chucker straight up the next hill or trying to put an arrow in the elusive Nevada mule deer; he has enjoyed every minute. Kris's fondest memories and greatest thrill is grabbing his Zink calls, Greenhead Gear decoys, and heading out after waterfowl. To Kris, there is nothing better than enjoying a good hunt with his family and friends and he enjoys putting it all together from scouting to recapping the events of the hunt. The people and friendships made in the field cannot be beat.

Kris is a board member for the Nevada Waterfowl Association. He enjoys working with the men and women behind the scenes of hunting organizations and companies like Zink Calls and Avery Outdoors. Kris feels that without their hard work, hunting would not be what it is today. From Nevada to Canada, Kris is always watching that next flock and talking the talk.
