Ryan is 16, and currently lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan with his mom, dad, and sister. When he's not blowing his Zink Calls, answering questions on the Avery Message boards or out hunting, you can probably find him working on peoples lawns or playing war games on the internet.

He is currently on the Avery Youth Field Staff, and enjoys working and talking with many different kids about duck and goose hunting or just being in the outdoors with friends and family!

Ryan has been waterfowl hunting with his dad and other close relatives since he was three years old. His favorite type of waterfowl hunting is lying in his power hunter in a cornfield with a bunch of Greenhead Gear Goose decoys out, waiting for some Honkers or big corn fed Mallards to come around. A close second would be sitting in a layout boat on a large body of water in November waiting for some Buffleheads to come zipping across his diver spread.

He has not yet entered any calling contests, but he practices every day on his PM-1 to try and get all the right sounds, and is trying to get a good routine down so he can start entering the contests.
