I'm 30 years old and was raised in waterfowl rich Southeast Missouri. Growing up, my parents and I were always in the outdoors, either hunting, fishing, or camping. I loved my time in the outdoors, but my life was about to change dramatically. November, 1987 in Puxico, Missouri at Duck Creek Conservation Area "I fell madly in love". That day armed with a single shot 20 gauge and an oversized leaky pair of hand me down waders; I shot my first limit of mallard ducks. The sights, sounds, and smells of the duck blind consumed me from that day on. After getting a taste of duck hunting, my next goal was to shoot a turkey with my dad. I shot my first turkey at the age of 8, thus increasing my passion for hunting and learning how to call waterfowl and turkey.
I hunted throughout high school at the public hunting tracts in southeast Missouri, leading me to a new adventure. I accepted a football scholarship to Bemidji State University in Northern Minnesota. There I hunted every chance I could find between classes and practice. While attending Bemidji State I had the great fortune of meeting my wife Lori. While living in Northern Minnesota I had the privilege to hunt the famed wild rice lakes of Minnesota with great success, also hunting Canada geese, turkey, grouse, pheasant, deer, rabbits, and fishing for walleye.
My Wife Lori, son Beckett, and our two labs (Kodi and Baylee) live in Jackson, Missouri; here I take as many youth as I can waterfowl, turkey, and dove hunting. Teaching youth proper rules and ethics of being in the outdoors is a great feeling.
I greatly enjoy sharing time and experiences with others who share the same passions as I do. I consider it an honor to represent the great craftsmanship of Zink Calls and their extraordinary turning power.
