My Name is Baylee Brooks and I am 13 years old living in Southeast Ohio outside of Cincinnati. I was introduced to the world of hunting and conservation from my father when I was 6 years old and I have been hooked ever sense. Participating in the National Wild Turkey Federation Jake's program opened my eyes to a world of conservation, ethics and the hunting heritage. I am extremely active as a member of the NWTF at a local and state level working on several outreach programs, participating as Junior Coordinator for the jakes program and actively promoting hunting and conservation to my youth peers. At age 9 I harvest my first deer and competed in my first NWTF calling contest. I have found my true passion in competing and participating in calling contests throughout the state and have placed in several different divisions. 2009 year I had the great experience of calling in and harvesting my first longbeard, a 22 lb 9 ¾" beard with 1" spurs. And what can I say about that day but Awesome, it is indescribable on what you feel and the accomplishment and admiration that came over me! Since then, I continue to learn and tune my calling, and I look forward to every opportunity to use my calling skills whether it's in the woods or on the stage.
