Shawn Boudry

.My name is Shawn Boudry and I am 42 yrs. old. I live in S.E. Wisc. in a town called West Bend. We are located between Milwaukee and Fon du Lac.

I started hunting for real at the legal age of 12 yrs. Old. For Christmas that year my parents bought me a Remington 870 Wingmaster shotgun and I used that to shoot many birds and my first deer in that first year.

Prior to hunting for real I was tagging along with my three older brothers and my dad chasing prey since I was about 4 yrs. old. I caught the hunting bug early.

I have since graduated to a black Benelli Nova several years ago but still use the Remington for whitetails and retro hunts.

Married to the same wonderful woman for 20 + years named Stephanie, who has learned to understand my passion for the outdoors.

Together we have 3 awesome children, Adam, 21, Army reservist, married and does some hunting but is very busy, Trista, 19, full time college student, full time customer service rep at a local home goods store, and Breanna, 14, full time student and my constant hunting companion.

I have entered a few calling contests in my time but have never placed but will keep trying.

I waterfowl hunt the S.E. Wisconsin rivers, fields, and marshes with several trips to the famous Horicon marsh. I have taken a few trips out of state to hunt waterfowl with my favorite being our annual hunt in Missouri for light geese with Show me snow geese. Deer hunting and upland game hunting are also favorites of mine when accompanied by our new yellow lab named Rocket.

In my spare time I like to volunteer for Ducks Unlimited events and most recently was elected as chairperson for our local DU committee. I enjoy going to church on a regular basis as well.

When I am not hunting, you can find me posting on several of the outdoor based web sites as a state leader, field editor, or just a member going by the name of Yellow Dog or Shawn Boudry.
